Al works for Anglican Youthworks in Sydney with their ministry support. He has over 20 years experience with ministry to young people, as well as providing youth ministry consultation around Australia. He has been researching what contributes to young people staying in church, and we look forward to hearing from him on this.

Digital Dilemmas
Sam Wheeler-Smith

Social Media continues to be both a native environment to a younger generations and challenging place to connect safely. This elective will help leaders navigate social media, the new legislation around age, and how to engage thoughtfullly.

Conflict Resolution
Serena McGann

Part of walking alongside teens can be navgiating relationships when conflict arises for them. This elective will help us navigate these conversations and prepare our own hearts as we do.

Leading Discussions
Chris Pine

Leading teenagers through Bible studies can mean being thoughtful about the questions you ask to help discussion flow. We can use the written questions as a springboard to go deeper, and the elective will help us think about how we can shape our group conversations.

Building Positive Youth Ministry Culture
Danny Mitchell

This elective will take us through how can we contribute to the ‘vibe’ of our groups and how the gospel will shape our actions in big and small ways in our ministries.

Leader of Leaders
Al James

Al will be available to catch up with any leader of leaders – those who lead a youth ministry – to discuss how teenagers participate in our minsitries.

There will be free parking available at 145 Ann St (Wilson Parking), with doors open from 9:45am – 11am. All levels available, but no return access after 6pm.
